Everyone’s favourite nostalgic recipe includes our homemade lower-carb Mary Rose sauce and thickly buttered LivLife.  Fun fact: the Danish word “tandsmør” literally means “teeth butter” and describes when you butter your bread so thickly it leaves toothmarks when you bite into it. That’s our kind of thinking.

Serves 2


3 tbsp mayonnaise

1 tsp tomato puree

1 tsp lemon juice

½ tsp Dijon mustard

¼ tsp smoked paprika, plus extra for sprinkling

200 g cooked prawns

½ cos lettuce, shredded

½ avocado, sliced

4 slices LivLife

3 tbsp butter



  1. Mix together the mayonnaise, tomato puree, lemon juice, mustard and paprika. Stir in the prawns.
  2. Divide the lettuce between two dishes and spoon the prawns and their sauce on top. Arrange the avocado on the side and sprinkle with a little more paprika.
  3. Generously butter the LivLife and serve alongside.
